The Upstate Catholic Business Network will host our regular Breakfast and Speaker on Wednesday 9 March.
Our March Breakfast will feature a panel of non-profit workers from the Upstate community, moderated by Jordan Roberts. Present on the panel will be Scott Braud from Project Hope Foundation, Catherine Pelicano from Upstate Warrior Solutions, and Jessica Thrall from Catholic Charities.
Scott Braud is the Director of Therapy for Project Hope Foundation. He received his Masters degree in Psychology and Board Certification in Behavior Analysis in 2003. A native of south Louisiana, he and his family moved to Greenville in 2008 to join Project Hope's new therapy program. He has had the opportunity to work with children and families impacted by autism since 1999, specializing in behavioral treatments that work to teach meaningful adaptive skills and reduce dangerous behavior. The goal of his work is to develop skills that will lead to increased opportunities and individuals with autism and their families.
Catherine Pelicano was born in St. Louis, MO, and moved to Greenville, SC in 1999. She holds a mass communications degree from USC Upstate and has worked in a variety of fields, including education, legal transcription, and marketing communications. She completed a year of national service as an AmeriCorps VISTA from 2019-2020, and was subsequently hired by her nonprofit host site, Upstate Warrior Solution (UWS). She currently serves as UWS’ Community Relations Manager, helping the organization build partnerships that support our local veterans and their families. Catherine has been a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over 20 years and enjoys working behind the scenes to build up the parish community.
Jessica Thrall was born in California and then hopped around different military bases on the West Coast. She played soccer for 16 years, mostly in Las Vegas. She has been married to her husband, Jon, for 10 years this coming April. They have two pups, love road tripping across the US and have recently gotten into rock climbing. Serving others has always been very important to Jessica. She started volunteering at a young age and now has over 7 years working in nonprofit. She and her husband moved to the Upstate area about 5 years ago and love it here. She previously worked as the Service Director at Meals on Wheels- Anderson before receiving the Site Administrator position at Catholic Charities this past August. She is passionate about the 5 community programs they operate which serve our Upstate neighbors, and she looks forward to watching them grow to meet the needs.

We will meet at the offices of Parallel Financial, 511 Rhett Street, Suite 2A, Greenville, SC 29601. Parking is available in any of the three lots shown in the map below. There may also be some available spots on Rhett Street or Main Street.
